• Each reservation is for a period of 8 Hrs. At the expiration of this time, a 30 minutes grace period would be given after which the clients must vacate the hall completely or pay an additional surcharge of #100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) per hour into the company’s account.
• A 500 Chivalry Chairs & 100 Tables for banquets are included in the rental fees.
• Patrons are expected to provide chair and table covers.
• Cooking is not allowed on the premises of our halls.
• Branding and Banners are to be used only with the permission of the management of the hall management.
• Musicians/Bands/DJs are to come with their own Generators as the venues under the management the balmoral group will not be responsible for supply of electricity to power their equipment.

In the case of loss or damage to our properties, management assessment of the extent of damage or loss and valuation of same shall be final.

A caution/refundable deposit in the amount to be determined by the management; is payable and must be paid before the event day. Where no loss or damage occurs, the caution deposit shall be returned after 2 banking days.

Where there is damage to the property, the net balance shall be communicated and payable. Where the assessed damage is in excess of the deposit, the function organizers (clients) are liable to pay the shortfall.

Payment can be made in cash or cheques. Cheques will be accepted only if presented at least 10 business days prior to the event date and are subject to successful clearance. Receipts will be issued after cheques have cleared. Cheques should be made payable to us. Deposits can be made directly to the bank and the deposit slip brought to our office.

Postponement of events shall attract a penalty of 25% charge of the Hall Price amount before discount or negotiation. However, if the event is subsequently cancelled, penalties applicable to cancellation policy (see Article 5 above) shall apply.

The Management of the Balmoral Halls and event management reserves the right to terminate the contract without prejudice to its rights if:

• The client fails to comply with or breaches the contract terms and conditions.
• The client intends to use the venue for an event other than the one specified in the contract.
• The event may lead to a breach of peace, acts of violence, or possible damage to The hall.
• The event contravenes any legislation or statutory regulations.
• The nature of the event is undesirable to us.

Please note that the management of the Balmoral events and hall management will retain any monies already paid.

Due to the nature of our hall, smoking in The Hall is prohibited and the event organizer and/or owner shall be completely responsible for any damage that arises as a result of people flouting this rule.

we assume no responsibility or liability for any items brought into the premises. This includes items being utilized by the host or attendees to a function. The hall may where it deems it necessary, allow guests to provide their own security during events with no liability whatsoever to the Hall. The hall has the final say on security arrangements.

The Hall is not responsible and assumes no liability for items left on the premises prior to or following an event.

The Hall, its officers, employees and or contractors, will not be held responsible for any injury,  loss, damage or costs of any nature whatsoever (including but not limited to the costs of legal action) suffered by the client (event organizer/ owner) arising out of any cause whatsoever. Any advice, recommendations or opinions given by third parties, agents or employees are given in good faith will not give rise to claims to The hall.

It is the responsibility of the event organizer to ensure that they are familiar with and comply with, the information contained in this contract. They are also responsible for ensuring that they, or any of their appointed agents, do not contravene any of the restrictions.

The Hall management will not be responsible for any loss, or damage. This includes losses sustained by the event Organizer due to the cancellation of events by The Hall. Should The Hall cancel any event, and monies collected would be refunded. The Hall reserves the right to inspect and control all functions on the premises.

Any damages to its property would be charged accordingly to the party responsible for contracting the venue. The management shall not be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to property brought onto the premises.

The final attendance numbers must be made available to the management prior to the event date. Changes would be permitted if such changes are feasible and would not cause any damage to The Hall.

The event organizer and/or owner is required to comply with all existing safety and security legislation, which is enforced at The Hall. The event organizer and/or owner is legally required to ensure the safe working practice of all their contractors to ensure that no emergency exits, signage, or equipment are covered or obstructed in any way and to provide additional signage as and when required.
